It produces a light high, and as of the posting date of this writeup, is federally legal. That’s because it can be derived from hemp! You can order it online, and it can be delivered right to your door.

Now, I’m someone that normally steers clear of edibles. I find them fesity and unpredictable. I don’t feel the effects for hours, and then wa-BAM! I’m way too high.

So, when the team at Delta Munchies reached out, I was interested – yet skeptical. I would never put my personal word behind something that didn’t work, or was hard to dose and got me way too high. Still, I was down to try!

They were kind enough to ship me a range of their products, from Light to Medium and even Heavy Strength Delta-8 gummies. I spoke to their helpful team, and explained that 5mg of THC is enough to get me high.

They recommended starting with a Light gummy (10mg Delta-8) and going up from there. This was a great plan IMO, because you can always add more – but once that gummy goes to work, you can’t take it away.

I popped a peach ring (so tasty!) and waited in anticipation. Like a normal edible, the gummy took about 2-3 hours to metabolize for me. This varies from person to person, based on your body, if you’ve eaten recently, etc. Once it kicked in, the high came on light and easy, with a relaxing body high and uplifting mental effects.

For me, the Delta-8 experience would be great for having a picnic in the park, seeing live music, going for a hike, or cleaning the house. I definitely felt too high to be around my parents or take a work call, but that’s just my experience. Like I said, I’m a lightweight! With edibles, I always recommend trying them on a day off when you can just chill and do your thing.

The high faded out gently, and I didn’t have any lingering effects. All in all, it was a GREAT experience! I was pleasantly surprised that Delta-8 lived up to the hype. I’d definitely recommend it as a legal option for cannabis consumers in prohibition states, and for stoner girls like me who have a low tolerance and like a social high.

Thanks for chatting with us today! Tell us a little bit about you and your role at Delta Munchies.

My name is Radiant Hoang and I’m the CEO and Founder of Delta Munchies, we carry an assortment of Delta 8 gummies to Delta 8 vapes. I’ve been in the cannabis space for a little over 15 years and was always surrounded by it since a young age. So naturally, I started as a consumer, moved to become a trimmer, and then eventually cultivating and learning the extraction process. And since Delta 8 is a pure concentrate extracted from hemp, naturally we started Delta Munchies.  

What’s a typical workday like for you?

A typical workday would be waking up and seeing what’s new or trending in the cannabis/hemp/Delta 8 world, always intrigued by what’s going on in such a rapidly evolving industry. Then I try to catch up on e-mails and knock out all the important meetings as soon as possible while my brain is still fresh. From there, I meet with our amazing production and/or marketing team and work out what we need to do, to be better or more efficient.

So, what is Delta 8 THC exactly?

Delta 8 THC is another psychoactive component of hemp just like Delta 9 THC and what makes it great is that it gives you a similar high to Delta 9 but without the mental fog, creating a more functional high. When people ask me, “Will Delta 8 get you high?” I usually tell them “Yes!”. Around 60 to 70 percent potency of Delta 9 but that’s because Delta 8 THC gives you the same body high but very little to no mental high. And the beauty of this is that people who enjoy smoking to relax or enjoy themselves without the negative side effects that typically come with Delta 9 like paranoia, anxiety, and stress, can now do so without the fear of getting “overly high”.

What inspired you to expand the knowledge of Delta 8 THC through your brand? Why is education about this cannabinoid so important?

I’ve always believed in health and wellness, especially through the use of THC because unlike some pharmaceutical drugs THC is natural. The problem for me was always getting “too high”. When eating edibles or gummies there’s always a fine line between the perfect high and catastrophe, once you’ve crossed that line there’s no coming back. One moment you’re having a great time the next you’re glued to your couch and you can’t get up because you’re having racing thoughts of something that you’re probably overthinking. With Delta munchies, we make enjoying Delta 8 edibles, Delta 8 gummies, and other forms of Delta 8 THC enjoyable without reaching that point of chaos. 

It’s important to me that more and more people understand that Delta 8 THC, especially in a medicinal capacity, is extremely beneficial. Since Delta 8 is federally legal now, it provides an outlet to those who didn’t have prior access to a product that stimulates appetite, alleviates pain, releases stress and anxiety all the while boosting your mood without negative side effects. If you were a stoner superhero, what’s your name & secret power?

My stoner superhero name would be The Incredible Toke and my secret power would be to get anyone high on command.

What music do you put on when you really need to get some work done?

When I need to get work done I typically go with a mix of 90’s hip hop and RnB to get the right vibes going. 

Are there any women in the cannabis industry that you think of as mentors, or are inspired by? Why?

I’m inspired by a lot of women in the industry but my biggest inspiration is Wanda James because she’s a great entrepreneur and her advice to people is always realistic and tough. Her mentality is work hard and if you fail try again until you succeed because with each failure you’ll learn something new.  I heard about her through an article I read about her company, Simply Pure, and they talked about how she was in the military and also worked on the financial committee for Barack Obama. To me, it was incredible to see someone come from a government background then leave to start a business in cannabis, which was something she loved and completely against the grain of what she did before. It’s inspiring that with the right work ethic and mentality you can really do anything.

Where do you see Delta Munchies five years from now?

In 5 years I see Delta Munchies as a household name. The dream would be to have Delta 8 readily available on the shelves of a vitamins or pharmacy aisle of a CVS or Walgreens. The powerful antiemetic components Delta 8 has along with its ability to release pain, release anxiety, or release stress deserve to be easily accessible to anyone over 21. 

What is your favorite way to consume cannabis? What strain are you loving currently?

I am 100% a flower guy, love smoking the newer strains these amazing brands have been coming out with.  Besides that, I honestly take 10mg of a Delta 8 gummy every day when it’s close to bedtime. The high of Delta 8 really is perfect for winding down and relaxing.
