This CBD infused sparking water wants me to snooze my notifications, and I’m here for it.

Let me set the scene for you, babes. It was 8pm on a Sunday, and I was browsing mindlessly on insta, seeing what’s new in the world of cannabis on the ‘gram.

I was zoning out pretty hard until a post stopped me mid scroll:

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a sucker for good branding (a direct result of being a marketer and millennial) but what really got me hooked on Recess was their message.

The product is soda water infused with Hemp Extract + Adaptogens, but what they’re really selling is that feeling of being cool, calm and collected with each sip.

They’re on a mission to help those of us with too many tabs open in our brains find some inner peace. To snooze some notifications. To be okay with leaving emails unread.

It’s radical self-care that happens to be in CBD soda disguise, and I’m here for it.

I was able to sample each of their flavors, and what stood out to me was how bright and flavorful each was, like it was hand mixed with fresh ingredients that day.

And, instead of tossing these in the back of the fridge like I usually do with soda water, the pretty packaging inspired me to prominently display them front and center.

These are way to pretty to hide in the back of the fridge.

Blackberry Chai was smooth and savory, Peach Ginger was fresh and tart, and Pom Hibiscus was rich and fruity. If I had to pick a favorite, I’d go with Blackberry Chai – an unlikely flavor pairing that quickly won me over.

CBD soda on a mission.

Recess’ calming creations are infused with 10mg CBD, enough to take a little edge off without too much of an earthy flavor.

And, each can is supercharged with Schisandra (boosts immunity and promotes balance) Ginseng (helps you focus and improves your memory) and L-theanie (reduces stress with the help from green tea).
