Hi, Elle! Thanks for taking the time to chat with us. Tell us a little about your business, Lifted Karma.

Lifted Karma Project focuses on providing “lifted” jewelry, accessories, and decor. We are focused on mixing cannabis with jewelry and decor in a trendy, elevated way for the modern stoner. Carrying products such as hand-crafted rolling trays, vintage ashtrays, and other smoking accessories, I specialize in limited edition or one-of-a-kind pieces.

When did you first discover that you enjoyed cannabis?

My experience with cannabis was two fold- the first was recreational and mostly enjoyed in college. Then after several years of not using cannabis, I found myself diagnosed with fibromyalgia when I was 25. I tried a lot of medication, but what worked the most for me was medical cannabis- so I consider that the second time. Both times I loved the plant, but using it medicinally puts me in more control of the experience of the high. It makes me aware of the nuisances of cannabis and how it affects my body.

What’s one fashion rule you wish you followed when you were younger?

I’m pretty sure I followed all of them based on my photos. 🙂  I majored in Apparel Merchandising and loved fashion- I even ran my own fashion consulting business where I helped women and men dress for their shape or certain events, I loved it! Now in Seattle, I’m all about comfort.

What’s the most fun thing about being a female entrepreneur in the cannabis industry? What’s the most challenging?

I would have to say the most fun is the amount of support that comes from other women. It’s like we decided life is hard enough without another sister holding you down, so let’s build each other up versus tear down, it’s very inspiring. What’s the most challenging? Probably creating brand awareness- it’s the green rush and people are flooding and saturating the market, it’s hard to have a voice at times. I think that it helps me to push up my game though. Actually, I know it does, so even the challenges are still so rewarding for me.

If you could collaborate with one designer, who would it be?

Alexander McQueen- he’s flawless and knows how to make the female shape look amazing. His style is everything I wish I had in my life.

What one cannabis trend or product are you loving right now?

The Switch Blaze is my go-to for consuming on the go- I’m seriously obsessed! I just started carrying it in my store and highly recommend it.
